This was a whirlwind tour to absorb some of the Civil War history in VA and catch the sites of the District of Columbia. Two of the grandkids were on spring break, and even though it was very cold and windy, it was a very nice time.  The Ram and Cougar occupants stayed at the Fredericksburg KOA in site 105, and the rest of the clan stayed in a cabin across from our site.

We spent two days touring DC and one day exploring the battlefields surrounding Fredericksburg. Notloc has a real interest and grasp of American History. His younger brother Ekul was not quite as interested. I believe his position was, “I don’t want to waste any more time seeing statues”. But he was very happy seeing the otters and panda’s at the National Zoo.
